About Nepal
Nepal – officially the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal is a mystical country nestled in the folds of the magnificent Himalaya mountain ranges. With an area of 147,181 square kilometres (56,827 sq mi) and a population of approximately 30 million, Nepal is the world’s 93rd largest country by land mass . Kathmandu is the nation’s capital and the country’s largest metropolitan city. The entire distance from east to west is about 800 km while from north to south is only 150 to 250 km.Nepal is a country of highly diverse and rich geography, culture and religions.
Nepal is the only country with drastic altitude variation from lowland of 59 meters to highest place of world Mt Everest 8,848 meters. Nepal has been tagged as the ‘ceiling of the world’ for being home to eight of the ten world’s highest mountains . Kathmandu capital of Nepal is also known as the living cultural museum of the world as out of 10 UNESCO Heritage sites in Nepal , 07 UNESCO heritage sites is inside Kathmandu in radius of 15 KM. Nepal is the natural habitat to 5,980 species of flowering plants, 2% of the world’s orchids and 6% of rhododendron species. The country shelters over 250 species of flora and fauna, 870 species of birds which is roughly the world’s 8%, 650 species of butterflies and the world’s most giant moth and honeybees. The Chitwan National Park is a reserve of endangered and rare animals such as Asia’s one-horned rhinoceros and the Royal Bengal Tiger.
Hindu and Buddhist traditions in Nepal go back more than two millennia. In Lumbini, Buddha was born, and Pashupatinath temple, Kathmandu, is an old and famous Shiva temple of Hindus . Nepal’s diverse linguistic heritage evolved from three major language groups: Indo-Aryan, Tibeto-Burman languages, and various indigenous language isolates. Nepal is an abode of 80 ethnic groups speaking 123 languages. Different culture, religions and festivals are celebrate by different Ethics groups. Nepal is a deeply religious country, as you will see in their temples, Monasteries, buildings and even in their life style.

Welcome to Nepal! On arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from our office will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel and help you check in. You will then be briefed about your daily activities.

One of the must-see landmarks of Nepal is of course the highest peak in the world – Mount Everest. One awe-stricken silence can come close to matching the experience of going on a mountain flight to encounter the tallest mountains of this earth. Mountain flight offers a panoramic view of the Himalaya in a just one hour. Even those visitors who like the rigors of a trek still don’t miss the opportunity to “conquer” the mountains in one fell swoop. This one hour flight takes you the Eastern Himalayan Ranges of Nepal, some of the highest peaks in the world including Mt. Everest The flight is an altogether different feeling as one comes face to face with the worlds tallest and most enigmatic of Mountains.
After breakfast proceed to visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath and Patan Durbar Square.
Kathmandu Durbar Square: Listed as one of Cultural World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Kathmandu Durbar Square is cluster of ancient temples, palaces, courtyards and streets that date back to the 12th and 18th centuries. The visit of Durbar Square includes the emple of Living Goddesses, who acknowledges the greetings of the devotees from the balcony of her temple residence, the Hanuman Dhoka Royal Palace, the historic seat of the Royalty; the magnificent Taleju Temple towering 40 meters. The capital takes its name from the giant pagoda of Kasthamandap, which is said to have been built of a single tree. The Kasthamandap has been destroyed in recent massive earthquake and will take some time to rebuild it. It has been the main focal point of the city’s social, religious and political from the Malla kings.
Swayambhunath:
Located approximately 4 kms. /2.5 miles, this Buddhist Stupa is said to be 2000 years old. The Stupa which forms the main structure is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt. Painted on the four sided base of the spire are the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. This hill is a mosaic of small Chaityas and Pagoda temples.
Patan Durbar Square: Located about 5 km south of Kathmandu in the Kathmandu Valley, on the southern side of the Bagmati River, Patan is one of 3 royal cities in the valley. A destination for connoisseurs of fine arts, Patan is filled with wood and stone carvings, metal statues, ornate architecture, including dozens of Buddhist and Hindu temples, and over 1200 monuments. The city of Patan is believed to have been built in the third century B.C. by the Kirat dynasty. It was expanded by Lichhavis in the 6th century A.D. and again by the Mallas in medieval period. Durbar Square, like its counterpart in Kathmandu, is an enchanting mélange of palace buildings, artistic courtyards and graceful pagoda temples. Listed as a World Heritage Site, the former royal palace complex is the center of Patan’s religious and social life, and houses a museum containing an array of bronze statues and religious objects.

| Day 03 – Drive to Nagarkot |

- Drive to Nagarkot 32 km approx.. 1 ½ hrs enroute visit of Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
Pashupatinath Temple: Pashupatinath Temple dating back to 400 A.D. is one of the oldest Hindu Temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is for the Hindus what Mecca is for the Muslims. Situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, the temple built in Pagoda Style with gilded roof and richly carved silver doors. Pashupatinath is the centre of annual pilgrimage on the day of Shivaratri which falls in the month of February/March. You’ll also be able to see cremation grounds that lie on the bank of Bagmati behind the temple.
Boudhanath Stupa: One of the oldest and the biggest Buddhist monuments ever built in Nepal; Boudhanath is one of the holiest structures imposing a height of 36 meters with three massive level Mandala style platforms. It is surrounded by colourful buildings housing families creating a friendly enclosure. The Stupa is visited every year by tens of thousands of pilgrims from all over the world.
After sightseeing tour of Boudhanath we will drive to Nagarkot and enroute visit of Bhaktapur Durbar Square.[ If time doesn’t permit then we can do on next day after visiting Changu Narayan]
Bhadgaon:
Also known as Bhaktapur meaning city of devotees, this place is the home of medieval art and architecture. Lying 14 kms. /9 miles east of Kathmandu City, this place was founded in the 9th Century and is shaped like a conch shell. The city is at the height of 4600 ft. above sea level. In Bhadgaon, you will visit the Durbar Square with its array of temples overlooked by the Palace of 55 windows built by King Bupatindra Malla. The Nyatapola Temple, also built by King Bhupatindra Malla, is the best example of Pagoda style and stands on five terraces on each of which stands a pair of figures - two famous strong men, two elephants, two lions, two griffins and two goddesses. Time permitting, a visit to the museum of Thanka painting can also be considered.
Nagarkot:
Nagarkot is located 32 km of Kathmandu on the northern fringe of the Kathmandu Valley. Nagarkot is famous for its Himalayan views- the Himalayan peaks at sunrise are a magnificent sight to behold. Many wish upon arrival they would have planned for more than one day to stay. Nagarkot is surrounded by thickly forested hills of pine trees which give you an idyllic scene.
It is a rustic resort high on the northern fringe of the Kathmandu valley. It is an outstanding hilltop that offers great views of Himalayas, breathtaking mountain scenery and the most impressive views of sunrise and sunset.
Nagarkot commands one of the broadest views of the Himalayas range in the Kathmandu valley.The ranges include Annapurna range, Manaslu range, Ganesh himal range, Langtang range, Jugal range, Rolwaling range, Mahalangur range (Everest range) and Numbur range with views of the Kathmandu valley and Shivapuri National Park.

Then pack your bag and Hike down from Nagarkot to Changunarayan . Nagarkot to Changu Narayan hiking is an excellent walking day tour in the outskirt of Kathmandu valley. The Nagorkot Changu Narayan Hiking tour takes you to the magnificent view of Manaslu range, Ganesh Himal range, Langtang range, Jugal range, Rolwaling range, Everest range and Numbur range.The total duration of hike is from 04 hrs to 05 hrs depending upon walking.
Arrive in Changu Narayan and explore surrounding.
Changunarayan
The ancient temple of Changu Narayan is located on a high hilltop that is also known as Changu or Dolagiri. The temple is surrounded by forest with champak tree and a small village, known as Changu Village. The temple is located in Changunarayan Municipality of Bhaktapur District, Nepal. This hill is about 19 km east of Kathmandu and a 06 km north of Bhaktapur. The Manahara River flows beside the hill. This shrine is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and held in especial reverence by the Hindu people. This temple is considered as the oldest temple in Nepal.

The Valley is filled with swift flowing river and dotted with clear gleaming lakes. It is blessed with the back drop is the most dramatic sceneries in world. A 140km of panoramic Himalayan ranges seem close enough to be touched. But also can be felt. The magnificence of the Himalayas rising behind the lake create an ambience of peace & magic, popular for water rafting, Kayaking and trekking expeditions.

Sarangkot
Sarangkot is the most popular tourist destination from where the tourists can enjoy the great view of the Pokhara Valley and the magnificent view of the mountains such as Annapurna Massif, Fishtail Mountain, Dhaulagiri range, and Manaslu. Sarangkot is only 5 km from Lake Side from Pokhara and highest view point at 1592m high for Sunrise and Sunset view over the snowy peaks. Sarangkot is also famous for adventure activities like paragliding , Zip Flying.
Bindabasini temple
weThe white pagoda-styled building of the Hindu Bindabasini Temple quietly sits at some 3000 feet above sea level along the renowned Annapurna and Machhpuchhare mountain ranges. It is located near the busy Old Bazaar of Pokhara, a center of commerce in the Himalayas.Bindabasini temple or indhyabasini Mandir is of great religious importance to Hindus living in the Pokhara region. It is a vital hub of religious fervor. The temple itself is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga, who is Pokhara’s chosen guardian deity.

Afternoon visit Davis Fall, Gupteshwar Cave, Tibetan village , boat ride on Phewa Lake and peace pagoda.
Davis fall's: Witness a unique waterfall that lies 2 Km from central Pokhara City. The water fall directly goes into a deep and narrow canal with no ends. It is believed that this deadly waterfall took the life of a tourist named David, who fell down into the cannel and was never found, and hence the name David waterfall, named in his memory by the people of Pokhara. This place has many nick names like Davy's fall, David's fall or Davis's fall, all mean the same thing `The Davis Water Fall'.
Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave: Gupteshwar Mahadev cave is one of the longest caves in Nepal. On the way to cave, there are shining stones seen everywhere and in the temple is big stone that looks like snake's head and tortoise which is consider as the image of the lord Shiva. Second part is very beautiful and you see shining stones and different types of rocks like bee hives.
Tibetan Village – since 1959, a group of Tibetan refugees have been living in Nepal. One such is Tashiling Tibetan Refugee Settlement at Chhorepatan, which is located near two popular sightseeing sites i.e., Devi’s Fall and Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave. m x 4 km, is the center of all attractions in Pokhara, the enchanting lake is an heavenly playground.
The Fewa (or Phewa) Lake 1.5 kilometre long, second largest lake in Nepal, offers an excellent view of the mountains and their reflections on the lake. Many tours and trekking operators and hotels are located on the lakeside. One can easily find a place to sit back, relax and enjoy great meal while enjoying scenery here. You will also enjoy 01 hrs boating on the lake. Most hotels and guest houses have traditional designs and layouts which match with the surrounding views.
World Peace Pagoda – it is a massive Buddhist stupa located on a hill top (Rani Ban) just behind Phewa Lake. This stupa is symbol of peace where the huge idols of Lord Buddha from Japan, Srilanka and Thailand have been installed. From here one can enjoys the breathtaking views of Himalayan Ranges, lakes and the city.
